Carmecia wrote on the topic “What It Means to Me to Be An Amercian.” Carmecia and her mother attended the Pilot Club's monthly meeting last Thursday night at the Jade Garden restaurant in Monroe. At the meeting, Carmecia read her essay and was presented a medal and several other prizes from Katie Sivils, President of the Pilot Club. Mrs. Monique Lewings is Carmecia's teacher.
