Position Available: Behavior Interventionist

 The Ouachita Parish School Board is accepting applications for the following position: 

Behavior Interventionist (10 Month Contract)          

Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must hold at a minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, or Social work.

The preferred candidate will have experience as a behavior interventionist and hold either the Specialist Degree in School Psychology from a regionally accredited university and hold or be able to obtain a valid Certificate (Type A or B) in School Psychology from LDOE or hold the credential of licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), in accordance with R.S.  37:2701 et seq. and hold or be able to obtain a valid certification with the LDOE.

or hold a certificate as a licensed master’s social worker (LMSW), in accordance with R.S. 37:201 et seq. and hold or be able to obtain a valid certification from the LDOE or hold a Master’s Degree in counseling and be credentialed as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and hold or be able to obtain a valid certification with the LDOE or hold the master’s degree in education with professional experience as a behavior interventionist.
