The Adopt-A-School Program hosted its Fall Adopt-A-School Meet and Greet on the campus of Ouachita Parish School Board on Thursday. The program is a partnership of the West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce, Ouachita Parish School System and the business community.
The AAS Program seeks to partner with the business community to bring needed resources and volunteers into the 36 public schools in the District. On Thursday, school officials had the opportunity to meet their adopters, discuss their needs, and outline significant events at each school that are open for businesses and industry to partner.
These partnerships ensure that school staff and the community work together to develop and achieve excellence in education.
The Meet and Greet included a sponsored breakfast by Horace Mann with pancakes cooked onsite.
Corporate sponsors for all Ouachita Parish schools are Bayou Bowl, Centric Federal Credit Union, Horace Mann Agent John Gates, JTB Rentals, Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union, Raising Cane’s and Newk’s.
