Students to Dismiss Early for Summer

Ouachita Parish Schools will release students two days early for summer. On recommendation by Superintendent Coker, the School Board voted to amend the release date. The district has emergency weather days built into the school year calendar, and has not used them all for the 2018-19 term. Barring any unforeseen weather emergencies during the next month, students’ last day will be Tuesday, May 21. The teachers’ last day will not change and the extra days without students will be used for professional development.
