Independent Registered Municipal Advisor (IRMA) Disclosure

By publicly posting the following written disclosure, the Ouachita Parish School Board (“School Board”) intends that market participants may rely on the following for purposes of establishing the independent registered municipal advisor (“IRMA”) exemption to the SEC Municipal Advisor Rule. The School Board makes no representation as to the sufficiency of this notice for such purpose and specifically disclaims any responsibility or liability with respect to compliance with the Rule by any broker-dealer or third party other than with respect to the accuracy of the representation made herein.

The Ouachita Parish School Board has retained Government Consultants, Inc. (“GCI”) located at 700 North 10th Street, Annex Building, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802 as its municipal advisor.  The School Board is represented by, and will rely on its municipal advisor to provide advice with respect to proposals from financial services firms concerning the issuance of municipal securities. The School Board’s contact person at GCI is Nnamdi Thompson who can be reached by phone at 225-344-2098 or by email to nthompson@gc-la.net.  If a proposal received will be seriously considered by the School Board, it will be shared with its municipal advisor.  The School Board makes no representation as to the independence of its municipal advisor with respect to any individual market participant. This information may be relied upon until an amendment to the disclosure is prepared.
