Pre-K Registration




2020 – 2021

Pre-K registration for the 2020-2021 school year was held in June 3 – 12, 2020 .

Parents who did not register during the Round Up dates, may contact any of the schools listed below to ask if they have any available PK openings. Children may still be added to PK classes IF there are available spots that were not filled with children who registered during Registration Week. The parent would need to complete a registration packet and turn in the required documentation at the school.

Children must be 4 years old on or before September 30, 2020 to be eligible. See below the requirements for registration and a list of OPSB schools with

PreK. Parents may apply at any of the schools listed, but note where vacancies have been labeled.


What you will need to provide for a complete registration

Birth Certificate

Current Shot Record (does not have to be up-to-date)

 Social Security Card (or notice that you have applied for one)

 Two Proofs of Residence in the name of the birth parent- 2 current bill copies such as: Utilities     (electric, water, gas), Lease, Mortgage or Deed (no cell phone bills)

 Income Documentation - (as it applies to you from the following):

2 consecutive wage statements from the month of or month preceding the application date for EACH working parent in the home OR SNAP/Food Stamp printout with all family names shown OR Foster Care agreement from DCFS OR Letter from employer (signed/dated) stating the average number of hours worked per week and rate of pay OR If the CHILD receives SSI benefits, a Social Security Administration statement with 2 consecutive check stubs from the month of or month preceding the application date

Once a child is enrolled in a school site (where space was available) the Prek Child CAN be part of the VIP Prek Program. Request for admission to that special program is made at enrollment and a face to face orientation will be scheduled to complete the process.


*You must live in Ouachita Parish (and not inside Monroe city limits) to be eligible for the Ouachita Parish School Pre-K program.***Member of the OpeNetwork**
