Ouachita Parish Schools plan to reopen on Thursday, April 11

OPSB teams have been out assessing the damage from the severe weather that hit our area over the past 24 hours. We have also been in continuous communication with Entergy and our other safety partners this afternoon.
 

Although there remains isolated areas where there is no power, Entergy has informed us that power should be restored in most of these areas this evening. We do have a couple areas that are experiencing some high water, but as of now we plan to reopen on Thursday, April 11, with our normal operations.

Our buses will proceed with caution in the morning and take alternate routes where high waters remain an issue. Please continue to monitor our social media channels for any changes as we continue to get updates and monitor potential rainfall later this evening.
