Students of the Year Celebration of Excellence

Ouachita Parish Schools were proud to recognize 34 students who were chosen as Student of the Year for their respective schools. The 5^th, 8^th, and 12^th grade students attended an luncheon in their honor where the top 5 elementary and top 3 middle were honored prior to announcements of the 3 district finalists. Special appreciation to our sponsors for the event:  Centric Credit Union (title sponsor), Ascent, Drax Biomass, Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union, Senator Jay Morris, ULM, and West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce.  The event was held at the beautiful Bayou Pointe Center at ULM, with a delicious lunch from Aramark Catreing.
